I love Data Science and Analytics and I am passionate about data. I have two years of experience working as a customer care officer in the banking sector. During the pandemic, I leveraged on the lockdown to gain skills in data through online platforms with the goal of transitioning into tech. Earlier this year, I got into the Data Science and AI track of the womentechsters fellowship. The fellowship is sponsored by tech4dev in conjunction with Microsoft.
So far I have gained data analytics skills and have become proficient in using data analytics and visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI and have developed excellent storytelling skills. I am good at telling oral stories hence data storytelling came naturally. I have done some projects in python and have developed some regression models. I am familiar with some python frameworks such as Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Plotly and Scikit Learn.
Having been in banking, I have seen the large volume of data generated in a day and I know the kind of insights that can be gotten when this financial data is explored and I am excited to explore this. I also want to help businesses make sense of their data, gain insights and make good business decisions. I will love to work in the fintech space where I will be exposed to financial data.
