Google Play Console Specialist (Maintenance & App Publishing)

Platform Context

Overview
We’re seeking an experienced specialist to maintain our Google Play Console account and ensure smooth, compliant, and timely app publishing. You will audit, fix, and optimize everything related to releases, listings, policies, and store quality—working fully remote and collaborating through CryptoTask.org.

Scope of Work
- Account maintenance:
 - Periodic audits: App Content, Privacy Policy, Data Safety, permissions, SDK & target API levels.
 - Monitor alerts/notices: policy, security, billing, target/compile API, Play Integrity.
 - Manage tracks (internal/closed/open/production) and staged rollouts.
 - Store readiness: listings, localized text, screenshots, feature graphics, categories.
- Review & fixes for publishing:
 - Validate AAB/signing, Play App Signing, versioning, ABI/screen support, device compatibility.
 - Check Android requirements: min/target SDK, AndroidX, manifest hygiene, Play Billing compliance.
 - Policy compliance: User Data, Permissions (location/media/notifications), Ads, Subscriptions, COPPA.
 - Handle rejections/appeals; prepare rapid revisions and evidence for policy teams.
 - Configure testing (internal/open), pre-launch checks, QA gates, and changelog standards.
 - Complete Data Safety forms; verify Privacy Policy links and SDK disclosures.
 - Subscriptions/Payments: product setup, base plans, offers, price tiers.
- Documentation & reporting:
 - Initial audit report with findings, risk, and action plan.
 - Ongoing status updates, release notes, and a reusable publishing checklist/SOP.

Deliverables
- Play Console audit & remediation plan.
- Successful release to agreed track(s) (internal/closed/open/production).
- Compliant Data Safety form and up-to-date Store Listing assets.
- Publishing/Compliance checklist and post-release summary.

Requirements (Must-Have)
- Hands-on experience managing Google Play Console across multiple apps.
- Strong knowledge of Google Play policies (User Data, Permissions, Subscriptions, Ads, Content).
- Deep understanding of Android release flow (AAB, signing, ProGuard/Minify, Play Integrity).
- Ability to read basic crash/ANR reports (Play Console/Firebase) and propose fixes.
- Familiarity with Data Safety, privacy policies, consent, and 3rd-party SDK disclosures.
- Clear communication, fast response, disciplined documentation.

Nice to Have
- Play Billing v5+ (subscriptions, base plans, offers).
- QA/testing workflows (internal testing, Pre-launch Report) and automation (Fastlane/GitHub Actions).
- Experience resolving suspensions/rejections and drafting effective policy appeals.
- Android dev fundamentals (Gradle, manifest, permissions) to coordinate with engineering.

Security & Access
- Work via least-privilege Console roles; no sharing of signing keys.
- Use secure channels and maintain a change log for every release.

KPIs (Indicative)
- Zero repeat policy issues across releases.
- On-time production rollouts (TAT met).
- Continuous compliance of Data Safety and Store Listing.
- Reduced Console warnings from audit to audit.

Engagement & Payment (via CryptoTask.org)
- Type: Part-time/freelance (monthly retainer + per-release milestones).
- Payment: CryptoTask.org escrow (USDT/USDC/BTC). Funds released upon milestone approval.
- Collaboration: Remote; coordinate via CryptoTask chat/issue tracker.
- Duration: Ongoing maintenance with ad-hoc release support.
